A chartered financial analyst who ran a quarter-billion-dollar portfolio in New York moved home, built India’s largest parenting community, and then turned the messy work of running it into Convosight, a platform that helps brands and communities find each other.
A marketer who spent years on her own irregular periods teamed up with an Ayurvedic gynaecologist and built Gynoveda, a femtech brand that turns a five-thousand-year-old system of medicine into something you can measure, track and actually stick to.
An engineer who had worked in solar in the United States came home to a country with brutal sun and almost no rooftop panels on ordinary houses. She co-founded Freyr Energy to close that gap, using local partners and an app to reach the small towns big installers ignore.
Her blow dryer stopped, her natural waves appeared, and the haircare aisle turned out to have almost nothing for them. She left a McKinsey career to formulate for Indian hair, Indian water and Indian weather.
An IIT, Stanford and Harvard graduate left McKinsey to fix how India moves freight, and to treat the people driving the trucks as people. Rivigo became a billion-dollar company. She left in 2018, and is now building a design-first home-appliances brand called Nuuk.
A Wharton graduate stepped away for three and a half years to raise her children, then found the door back into work quietly shut. In 2015 she built JobsForHer, now HerKey. It reaches millions of women, it turns a profit, and its founder has picked a new fight: keeping AI from locking women out all over again.
