Pinkvilla is one of India's largest digital entertainment and lifestyle platforms, covering Bollywood, television, fashion and celebrity news. Nandini Shenoy launched it in May 2007 while working as a software engineer at Microsoft in Seattle, initially as an online community for Bollywood fans abroad. The company grew bootstrapped on advertising revenue to more than 60 million readers, with roughly a third of its traffic coming from the United States. In September 2025 Flipkart acquired a majority stake in the company, which continues to operate under its own brand.
