Several celebrities are also in the list of top YouTube content creators who made their big breakout through Youtube including Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, Akshay Kumar, Darshan Raval.
At the same time, many folks owe their success to Youtube and using YouTube's ever-growing success, these creators have surpassed the platform and gone on to be celebrities outside of the platform including Justin Beiber, Ed Sheeran, Lilly Singh (Superwoman), Amit Bhadana, Bhuvan Bam ( BB ki vines).
We interviewed a very successful YouTube Content Creator Ms Soumali Adhikary who hails from Bangalore and she shared how she has gained popularity as a Youtuber and Social Media Influencer in the last few years.
Her Youtube channels Soumali Adhikary (933000 subscribers, 109 million video views) and IndianVloggerSoumali (491000 subscribers, 157 million video views) are very popular with Indian audiences. Also, she has more than 38000 Instagram subscribers. These are definitely very impressive statistics, but this has taken years of her consistent hard work and perseverance. Soumali shared that she also is the co-founder of ZoomedInPixel Communication which is India's first Women's Influencer Agency through which she helps connect brands with top women influencers.
Entrepreneurship changes a person’s life and it was no different for Soumali. As she is building herself, she is inspiring thousands along the way.
Tell us about your business
I am the co-founder of ZoomedInPixel Communication which is India’s First Women Influencer Agency. We connect brands with women influencers. Also, I am a YouTube Content Creator and Instagram Influencer.
From where did you get the inspiration to start the business?
My husband has been very supportive and he encouraged me to start this business.
From how many years are you in this business?
Around 5 years
How supportive is your family?
My family is very supportive, they have always supported my career decisions. It helps in a big way when you have the support and encouragement of your family, which I always had.
What are the social environmental factors that have increased the prospects of
I think closing the gender gap is the biggest factor that has contributed to increase in women-led businesses. There are not one or two but many fields where women are considered as equal contributors. Also, as more and more girls are getting proper education, they are trying to be financially independent.
What problems do you face as an entrepreneur?
As an entrepreneur I face problems daily like facing uncertainty, making tough choices, taking financial risks or dealing with forces beyond my control. But I try to muscle my way through these issues, and never lose sight of your final goals.
How much initial investment was required when you started the business?
I invested approximately Rs. 30,000 to start this business.
How would you like to educate other women to take up entrepreneurship roles?
I strongly believe that all women should have economic independence and self-confidence because it gives them a sense of self-worth and also positively impacts the attitude of those around her.
What are your plans in terms of your business?
I plan to increase brand awareness for my businesses. Mostly, I want to make it big in terms of brand and customer satisfaction.
